Rob ree
co-Founder/ co-ceo

Rob Ree has over 25 years of multi-disciplinary expertise in the media and entertainment industry. Most recently, as Head of International at Tencent Pictures (Tencent’s entertainment arm), he led the company’s global initiatives spanning creative development, strategic business partnerships, and IP-based investments with major studios such as Warner Bros, Sony, Paramount that resulted in over $3B in worldwide box office.

Prior to Tencent, he was Head of International at management & production company Mosaic, curating IP-based projects with partners such as Netflix. In his capacity as Head of US Creative & Business Development of Japanese Academy Award-winning animation studio Madhouse, he launched its global adaptation and licensing business.

He began his career at the William Morris Agency in its talent and corporate consulting divisions representing Fortune 500 clients, and he continues to advise Tencent Games on its global entertainment related activities and is a producer on upcoming projects with Skydance Media and others.

carlo martinelli
co-founder/ co-ceo

Carlo Martinelli has over 25 years of experience working with intellectual property. He is Executive Producer on the AMC drama series Monsieur Spade, from writer/director Scott Frank (The Queen’s Gambit) writer Tom Fontana (Oz, Homicide) and starring Clive Owen as Sam Spade. He continues to work with the estate of Dashiell Hammett on other projects, as well as the estate of Chester Himes.

He was Co-Head of the Los Angeles office of literary agency Janklow & Nesbit Associates, where he represented the film and television rights for authors such as David McCullough, Danielle Steel, J.R. Moehringer, Robert Caro, Thomas Harris and many more.

As an executive he was involved in the development and production of films such as Nebraska, Little Miss Sunshine, Little Children, Cold Mountain, and others. Together, these films garnered 20 Oscar nominations and 3 wins.
